I'M NOT OUTGOING AT BIG PARTIES

In this topic, we talk about personality and how people act at social events. Some people are outgoing — they like to talk and meet new people. Other people are more quiet or shy. If you say "I’m not outgoing at big parties," it means you feel quiet or reserved when there are many people around. This is completely normal. We will learn how to describe personality using the verb to be in the present simple tense.

Examples:

  • I’m not outgoing at big parties.

  • She is very friendly at school.

  • Are you shy around new people?
