ARE YOU QUIET AT SCHOOL, OR DO YOU SPEAK A LOT?

 Talking about how much you speak or stay quiet at school is a good way to describe your personality. Some people are quiet and don’t talk much. Others speak a lot and enjoy talking to friends and teachers. In English, we can use the present simple to talk about these habits.

Examples:

  • I am quiet at school. I don’t talk a lot.

  • My friend talks a lot in class. She is very talkative.

This topic helps students at A1 and A2 levels talk about their own behavior and compare it with others using simple grammar and vocabulary.


GRAMMAR

We use the present simple tense to describe habits or routines.

Structure:

  • Positive: Subject + verb (base form)

  • Negative: Subject + do/does not + verb

  • Question: Do/Does + subject + verb?
